After purchasing this 1970’s canyon home, the clients wanted to update the interiors to suit their family’s lifestyle and reflect their personal taste.  The remodel utilizes the best of California Ranch House design that focuses on open floor plans, integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, and clean details.  A new continuous sloped ceiling and white oak floors link all of the first floor spaces, creating an open, casual floor plan. New sliding glass doors connect those spaces to the yard and swimming pool, and large expanses of glass "bring the outdoors inside".  A den, master suite, and family bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor, each with a particular view to the sylvan setting.  The home's interior finishes reflect the nearby canyon landscape in the use of natural finishes and a muted color palate.
