Cashmere Terrace

The clients purchased their traditional 1,850 sq. ft. Westwood home in 2005 and put off remodeling until their two children were off to college. Their goal was to move from the “maid’s quarters” where they had slept for 17 years and create a new luxurious master suite with a spa-like bathroom. The rest of the house was redesigned to provide for the clients’ new lifestyle as empty nesters with only occasional visits from grown children. The new 700 sq. ft. addition and complete interior redesign refocuses the home toward the backyard and existing pool. More outdoor living and entertaining spaces were introduced to increase the usable space of the yard. The interior of the home was completely reconfigured, and many of the new spaces have dramatic, high ceilings and views to the backyard. The addition of many new skylights and windows, and the use of light interior finishes, create a brighter and more welcoming home.
