Benedict Canyon Lane

After purchasing this 1970s canyon residence, the clients decided to update the home to reflect their family’s lifestyle and taste. The remodel utilizes the best of California Ranch House design, focusing on open floor plans, a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, and clean details. A new continuous sloped ceiling and white oak floor link all of the first-floor spaces in an open floor plan. New sliding glass doors connect the interior spaces to the wooded yard and swimming pool, and "bring the outdoors inside". A primary suite, family bedrooms, bathrooms, and a new den are located on the second floor, each with a unique view of the canyon. The home's interior finishes reflect the nearby landscape by using wood and stone materials and a natural color palate.
