Wellworth Avenue

This one-story 1940s home in West Los Angeles had many problems typical of older homes – an outdated kitchen, small bedrooms, very little storage, and no connection to the backyard. Plus, the home was beginning to feel too small for this busy, growing family. The renovation/addition addresses all of those issues, resulting in a design that continues the traditional style of the home while introducing much-needed updated interior spaces. The existing laundry and kitchen were joined to create a spacious new kitchen designed for today's standards. A primary suite was added to the rear of the home, creating a semi-private space for the parents. The rest of the existing home was renovated, including the addition of two bathrooms, a laundry room, an office, storage closets, and an enlarged family room.
